Beth Inabinett hails from Saint Helena Island, SC where she began singing at the age of 3 and professionally at age 15. The poised songstress makes it no secret that music is her first love. Yet there was a point in her life when she resisted the urge to pursue a singing career. She attended South Carolina State College (now University) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in General Home Economics, with concentrations in Child Development and Elementary Education. However, during her years at SC State, Beth was never far from the sounds of music. She was a vocalist in the SC State College jazz band, a Champagne Dancer on the Marching 101, sang 2nd Alto on the concert choir, was crowned Miss Alpha Phi Alpha her junior year, and crowned the 50th Miss South Carolina State College her senior year in 1987. In August 1999, Beth was initiated into the Nu Delta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Beaufort, SC.
Inabinett later went on to the University of Dayton where she received her Master of Science in Education and has been a Certified Professional School Guidance Counselor in SC & GA for the past 25 years. In 2010, Beth nearly lost her ability to sing when during a medical procedure, her vocal cords were bruised. Fortunately, the surgery to repair the bruise was successful. Nevertheless, fear kept the songbird from singing for nearly 4 years. Thankfully, she overcame that obstacle and continues to share the beauty that is her voice with the world.
